Handmade Stencil-dyed Washi, Japanese paper.

-WHERE is it made?
Only few places like Kyoto and Fukui Prefecture
Paper for Pastel’s PAPER BOX EYE SHADOW is made in Kyoto

-HOW is it made?

1.soak soy beans in water,grind, and strain        2.mingle with pigment                3.cut out patterns with a knife

this soy bean soup also can be used for Tofu!

4.put starch paste on a paper   5.put pigment on paper one color by one color   6.wash in water(!) and rinse starch paste

7.dry paper                                  8. beautiful pattern comes up!
